Thomas Levet
One of the greatest French golfers of all time, Thomas Levet has won numerous events on the European Tour and Legends Tour establishing himself as one of the sport’s biggest stars. Alongside his success out on the course, Thomas is also one of the industry’s most accomplished golf speakers whose natural charisma and engaging persona see him delight audiences time and time again with fascinating anecdotes from his career.
Born and bred in Paris, growing up Thomas was a keen golf player who played in a number of junior tournaments as a youngster. In 1988 he turned professional, winning the French PGA Championship in the first year. A decade later, he achieved his first European Tour win in the Cannes Open and went on to win six times on the tour.
In 2002 he finished second at The Open Championship at Muirfield. Alongside his success on the Tour, in 2004 he was selected for the Ryder Cup for the first time and was part of the European team that was victorious over the USA. In his capacity as one of the best golf speakers in the industry, he is able to discuss what it was like playing in such high-profile competitions.
In recent years Thomas has made the transition to the European Senior Tour (currently known as the Legends Tour). He’s won three times on the tour with his maiden victory coming at the Farmfoods European Senior Masters in 2019.
Throughout his career, Thomas has suffered from severe vertigo. At one stage, the condition got so bad that he considered retiring from golf as it was impacting him so badly. Despite this, he’s been able to overcome the condition and continued to have a fantastic career in the sport he loves.
