Anita Asante and Ellie Downie & Bodyform Uncensored Campaign

Evolve partnered Great Britain’s artistic gymnast, Ellie Downie, and former England international and passionate advocate for leadership, diversity and equality, Anita Asante with Bodyform for their campaign, #VaginasUncensored.

This involved a photoshoot where Anita and Ellie held signs that read ‘censored’ and provided a quote expressing the importance of open discussions about women’s health issues, and sharing any personal experiences they have faced.

The campaign was on the back of the discovery that vital words relating to women’s health are censored on social media and women are therefore unable to talk about vital issues when it comes to their health, including menopause, periods, and endometriosis.

The campaign included a number of female sports stars and was issued to mainstream media and women’s magazines across the UK near the launch of the World Cup.
