In this time, he has achieved countless honours, and was part of the legendary Aberdeen team of the 80s and 90s that won three Scottish Premier Division titles; five Scottish Cups; and a historic victory in the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1983 where they defeated behemoths Real Madrid in the final.
He’s also achieved greatly as a manager, leading Rangers to two Scottish Premier League titles; helping Birmingham City win the League Cup; and taking charge of his country, Scotland, on two separate occasions.
