Lord Chris Holmes of Richmond MBE lost his sight overnight at fourteen but returned to swimming and began competing internationally. He went on to win nine Paralympic gold medals, including six at a single Games, a feat still unmatched by any British Paralympian. At just twenty, Chris received an MBE in recognition of these achievements, having broken 35 world records over his career.
Chris became a Life Peer in 2013. Before entering the Lords, he worked as a commercial lawyer and led the Paralympic Integration programme for the London 2012 Games. In the Lords, he introduced the AI (Regulation) Bill in 2023 and helped steer the Electronic Trade Documents Act through Parliament. He is also the author of the DLT for Public Good report. The fee normally includes a keynote speech, as well as Q&A and meet and greet, but we can tailor the package to your needs and budget. Travel and accommodation for the speaker are normally charged separately but can be arranged by us.
