In September, Evolve partnered son of Rick and Jill Stein and the Chef Director of their restaurants, Jack Stein, with VHEY for their Tourism Conference.
The conference was held at MKM Stadium in Hull and Jack gave a 25 minute talk about food sustainability. He then took part in a curated Q&A with a selected group of local food suppliers who asked him questions around if he uses locally sourced food and works with local businesses to package their offer. Jack then also participated in a final Panel Q&A for the audience to ask questions.
The focus of the conference was slow food; sustainably sourced food; and how the hospitality industry can make changes with a tourism angle and aimed at the needs of the delegation. As a well-known chef who has both current experience, and knowledge passed down from his celebrity-chef father, Rick, Jack was ideal in sharing his views on the topic. He impressed the audience and provided some great learnings.
