Jason Leonard OBE & Battersea Ironsides Rugby Club
Battersea Ironsides Rugby Club came to Evolve looking to book a Rugby legend to speak at their annual dinner on the evening of Saturday 1st October 2022. Evolve recommended former England and Harlequins prop, Jason Leonard, who is also recognised as England’s most capped men’s player. Jason drew on his career and engaged the audience with his experiences of being an international – both professionally and socially.
Battersea Ironsides Rugby Club wanted a speaker who could entertain, captivate and inspire guests on the night. With such an extensive career in rugby and a wealth of experiences and anecdotes to refer to, Jason Leonard was a perfect fit.
Despite his retirement as a player, Jason has remained very involved in the world of Rugby, as both a sports speaker and as the Chairman of the British and Irish Lions. He was therefore able to draw not only on his knowledge of the field, but also as a speaker to enhance his performance at the event.
On this occasion Jason took part in a Q&A format on the evening. This helped to increase his interaction with the audience, but also allowed for certain points of interest from the crowd to be more specifically detailed. As always Jason took time out for photos and chatted to guests after the QnA.
