Karen Carney and Rugby Pass O2
To promote Rugby Pass O2’s #WearTheRose campaign, Evolve provided the brand with the legendary women’s footballer and pundit Karen Carney to take part in a very special Zoom call. Three of England Women’s Rugby’s players took part in a mystery guest competition, where they had to guess Karen’s identity.
As part of Rugby Pass O2’s #WearTheRose campaign that promotes support for all of England’s rugby teams, the brand required a sport’s star to participate in a mystery guest competition on Zoom.
The competition would see three England women internationals try and guess the identity of the star, following a number of clues. We provided the campaign with legendary England women’s footballer and now popular TV pundit, Karen Carney. Over the course of her career, Karen represented Arsenal, Chelsea, Birmingham City and England. Inducted into English football’s Hall of Fame in 2021, Karen is extremely well known and it didn’t take long for the players to guess Karen’s identity.
The Zoom call was promoted on the social media channels of the RFU, Rugby Pass and O2, with Karen’s role helping to spread the campaign far and wide.
