Shirley Ballas & Sanofi

In November, Evolve booked Strictly Come Dancing head judge and professional ballroom dancer, Shirley Ballas, for Sanofi’s campaign, Let’s Dance for COPD.

Shirley acted as a speaker and ambassador for the campaign and attended their patient-focused event in Liverpool. The aim of this event was to engage COPD patients and their loved ones to provide information and education about the benefits of exercise and movement (dance) in the management of COPD.

Shirley wrote a quote prior to the event to be included in Sanofi press release and recorded a video to introduce their dance video programme. She introduced and led the event in Liverpool, helping participants by demonstrating dance routines. Shirley also spoke about benefits of staying active through dance, referring to her experience of supporting someone with COPD. As someone with first-hand experience of helping someone with COPD, she was the perfect person to advocate its importance and acceptance.
