Andy Flower OBE
Andy Flower is an international cricket legend who is best known for captaining Zimbabwe and coaching the England cricket team. Regarded as one of England’s greatest coaches of all time, in 2011 he led the nation to the top of the world rankings and oversaw a 3-0 Ashes victory over the old enemy Australia. These successes saw him lauded throughout the world, and he’s now transferring his expertise from the world of elite sport to events around the country as a popular cricket after-dinner speaker.
From a young age, it was clear that Andy was going to have a career in cricket. Born in South Africa, he made his international debut in 1992 for Zimbabwe against Sri Lanka in the Cricket World Cup. He went on to be his nation’s wicket-keeper for over a decade and statistically remains the country’s greatest batsman of all time.
