From co-founding Surfers Against Sewage to working as a sustainability director at the Eden Project, Chris Hines has contributed to a wide range of environmental achievements in his remarkable career. This includes conceiving the ‘waste neutral’ principle; embedding sustainable practices throughout commercial organisations; and pressuring governments to do more to tackle the climate crisis.
As a result of his work, in 2008 he was awarded an MBE for services to the environment by the Queen.
