Claire’s focal achievement came after a freak accident left her paralysed from the chest down. Not one to let her situation hold her back, Claire made worldwide headlines in 2012 when she completed the London marathon in a pioneering robotic suit. From that moment, she was dubbed the bionic woman, and has since completed the Great North Run and the Manchester Marathon.
