Gordon started his career playing for Dundee in 1974. Managed by Sir Alex Ferguson, the team emerged as Scotland’s most successful team of the era. They won a host of domestic trophies as well as the European Cup Winners’ Cup and Super Cup in 1983.
Gordon has achieved a host of accolades during his professional career including winning a total of 50 caps for Scotland and being voted the Football Writers’ Player of the Year in 1992. He was also presented with a Hall of Fame award by his Dundee team.
