Ian Stringer is a popular football commentator who is best known for his association with Leicester City. For over a decade he covered some of the club’s biggest and most momentous achievements and has gained national wide acclaim for his work. Now, he works for the national radio station Talksport, covering football across the country.
Alongside his exceptional football commentary, Ian has also become a leading event host, overseeing occasions of all types at venues throughout the UK. In this role, he covered huge events in the club’s history. This included the highs of earning promotion to the Premier League in 2014 and arguably the greatest moment in Premier League history when they won the title in 2016. As well as this, he covered the tragic death of the club’s owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who died in a helicopter crash outside the club’s stadium in 2018. Ian fronted coverage of the event and the subsequent funeral in Thailand.
