Jaco van Gass is a four-time Paralympic champion cyclist and motivational speaker.
What are Jaco van Gass’ main achievements?
In 2009, when serving as a British soldier in Afghanistan, Jaco van Gass was hit by a grenade. This caused life-changing injuries including losing his lower arm and damaging his internal organs.
Following this devastating experience, Jaco turned to skiing and latterly cycling. Following two gold medals at the 2014 Invictus Games, he started participating in Britain’s Paralympic cycling team. In 2021 in Tokyo, he won two gold medals at his debut Paralympics before successfully defending his titles at Paris in 2024.
