Mark Butcher
Mark Butcher is a former England international cricketer who represented his country in 71 Test matches. In a professional career that spanned 17 years, he spent the entirety of his domestic career with Surrey and is regarded as one of the greatest players to ever represent the county. Since retiring, he’s worked as a commentator for a number of broadcasters in the UK, and can also be found touring the country as one of the best cricket speakers in the business.
Coming through the ranks at Surrey, Mark was a talented batsman who was regularly featured at the very top of the order. His great county form was noticed by selectors and in 1997 he made his Test debut during the Ashes Series against Australia. A steady performer on the international stage, he often recorded high scores for his country and spent almost a decade as a regular member of England’s Test team.
