For more than 15 years, Matt Elliott was a talented professional footballer who played as a solid defender for a number of clubs. Throughout his successful career, he played more than 550 professional games for several clubs, including Leicester City.
During his time with the Foxes, Matt became a key figure as the club established themselves as a Premier League side that always punched above its weight. He played more than 200 games for the club, with his biggest achievement undoubtedly coming in the 2000 League Cup final. Captaining the team, he scored both goals in a 2-1 win over Tranmere Rovers and was named Man of the Match.

A talented defender who played at the highest level of the game, Matt Elliott is best known for the eight years he spent playing for Leicester City. He was a mainstay in the team that won the 2000 League Cup; stabilised its position in the Premier League; and played in Europe in 2001.
As well as Leicester, Matt also played for Oxford United, Torquay United, and earned 18 caps for Scotland.
