The son of 1982 Formula 1 World Champion Keke Rosberg, Nico started his Formula 1 career with Williams in 2006. After moving to Mercedes, he won his first Grand Prix in 2012. Nico and his teammate Lewis Hamilton dominated the sport from 2014, and Nico realised his ultimate ambition and won the world championship in 2016. This makes him and his father Keke only the second father and son to both win the title.
After retiring from Formula 1, Nico has focused his work on sustainability. Among other innovative ventures, he founded the Greentech Festival, a global platform for sustainable innovation, and set up his own racing team in the all-electric Extreme E series.
