Peter’s upbringing was extremely turbulent. Growing up in foster care, when he was eight years old he went to visit his birth parents in Nigeria for what he believed to be a two-week holiday. However, he ended up staying for a decade and when he returned to the UK had nothing but £50 to his name. With nowhere to live, he ended up sleeping rough before a kind stranger helped find him temporary accommodation. He was then able to open a bank account and start a search for employment. In his capacity as one of the most inspirational business speakers around, he is able to discuss these challenges with audience members.

Determined to make a name for himself, he got a job at a local building society where his flair for finance was soon realised by colleagues. Progressing through the company, he went on to work in the iconic Canary Wharf for financial powerhouses like Natwest and Lombard. He then went on to work on the executive board of the multinational Fortune 100 company, St James Place. In this role, Peter acted as a financial advisor for a whole host of high-net-worth individuals.

In 2020, Peter took the brave decision to step away from Canary Wharf. Determined to give something back to society, he set up his own advisory platform, Conversation of Money. Through his accessible style and aptitude for breaking down complex financial matters into easily digestible terms, Peter has grown an extensive online following, drawing over a million viewers and listeners to the cross-platform channel.
