One of England’s most famous female rugby players, Rachel Burford has represented her country on over 80 occasions, competing in four Rugby World Cups and helping be a trailblazer for the women’s game. Born into a rugby-mad family, when she was just six years old Rachel picked up a rugby ball for the first time. It became obvious pretty early on that rugby was something Rachel was keen to pursue, and she spent a decade playing for amateur side Medway – including one year alongside her mother and sister.
