Richard Noble is a world speed record breaker, entrepreneur and motivational business speaker.
What are Richard Noble’s main achievements?
Richard’s most notable achievement is planning and developing the Thrust 2 programme, which he started with just £175. This programme birthed the vehicle which currently holds the land speed record at Black Rock Desert, Nevada.
In 1997, Richard was part of the Thrust SSC team. With a budget of just 12% of that of the McLaren Formula 1 race team, Thrust SSC went supersonic for the first time, and made two passes in this state over the mile within 60 minutes.
No other car has run supersonic and managed to steal away the title. Under Richard’s leadership, Great Britain has therefore retained the world land speed record for an outstanding 38 years.
In 2005, he established his own auction house, Hansons. Following its success, he then went on to launch Hansons London in 2018. This builded on the success of his Derbyshire auction centre.
