One of the most instantly recognisable personalities in cricket, Ryan Sidebottom was an England international bowler that represented his country in Test matches and ODIs. His huge hair and flamboyant bowling style made Ryan a star within the sport, but he had substance as well as style and took over 700 first-class wickets in a career that spanned two decades.

Beginning his career with local side Yorkshire in 1997, he won the NBC Denis Compton Award for most promising young player two years running. To the surprise of no one, Ryan received his first England call-up in May 2001 in a Test match against Pakistan. Unfortunately for Ryan, his time in the England camp initially did not last very long. It took six years for him to receive another call-up, and could have been forgiven for thinking his moment had gone. Plus his larger than life personality and wonderful sense of humour has seen him become a popular television personality. This includes appearing as a contestant on Dancing on Ice in 2019.
