Tiff’s main achievements are within his professional racing career. Throughout his motor sporting life, he raced in the World Sportscar Championship, which included fourteen Le Mans 24-Hour races. In 1990, he achieved an incredible result of third in this. In 1992, Tiff won his first-ever rally in a one-off outing in the Ford RS2000 Rally Sport Series. He is considered a legend both in this and in his own right.

Tiff is best known for presenting ‘Top Gear’ alongside Jeremy Clarkson and Quentin Wilson throughout the nineties before the show was taken off the air. His engaging and jest style of speaking made him a hit amongst sporting fans, later encouraging him to create ‘Fifth Gear’ which he also presented through to 2018. In 2020 he again returned to TV in a brand new car show ‘Loveacars On The Road’ for ITV4 which again gained a loyal fanbase.
