Ugo Monye
A successful former international rugby player turned popular television personality, Ugo Monye is best known for the 13 years he spent at Harlequins where he won one league title and two European Challenge Cups. Since hanging up his boots in 2015, Ugo has earned a reputation as one of the most insightful voices on the sport working as a pundit and presenter on BT Sport’s coverage of top-flight rugby. It’s this expertise, insight and affable nature that has also seen him become one of the most popular rugby after-dinner speakers on the circuit, entertaining audiences everywhere he goes.
A born and bred Londoner, he joined local team Harlequins as a boy making his first-team debut in 2002. During his time at Harlequins, Ugo saw a huge evolution at the club and played a crucial role as they were transformed from a second-tier team to the champions of England. One of his biggest successes came in the 2011/12 final when he played a key role as Harlequins became Premiership champions for the first time in their history. Ugo started the final against Leicester Tigers at Twickenham, coming out victorious in a 30-23 win.
