Sally Gunnell OBE won Olympic gold in the 400 metres hurdles at the 1992 Barcelona Games. The following year she set a world record of 52.74 seconds winning gold at the World Championships in Stuttgart while battling a heavy cold – a performance that cemented her place in athletics history.
Sally achieved what no other woman has accomplished: holding Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth titles concurrently.
