Sam Quek MBE won Olympic gold at the 2016 Rio Games as part of Great Britain’s women’s hockey team, securing the nation’s first-ever Olympic gold medal in women’s hockey. She earned over 125 caps for England and Great Britain during her international career and was named Player of the Match in the final of the 2015 European Championships, where Great Britain won gold. Sam was awarded an MBE in 2017 for services to hockey.
