Erin Boag is a New Zealand-born professional dancer.
What are Erin Boag’s main achievements?
Erin began her dancing journey at the age of 3 in New Zealand and by the time she had turned 18, she had become the New Zealand Ballroom and Latin 10 Dance Amateur Champion. In 1996, she moved to London to further her career and follow her dancing dreams.
Once she arrived in the UK, Erin paired up with British favourite, Anton Du Beke and the pair went on to win international competitions, turning professional within a few years, with many more prestigious wins to follow.
What is Erin Boag best known for?
Erin is best known for her sparkling personality on and off the dance floor on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. She quickly became a household name and won the 2006 Christmas special. She also holds the female record for most appearances in the show.
Erin is also seen as a huge figurehead for dance, movement, and fitness. In 2008, she hosted “The Big Dance” live in Trafalgar Square; entertained a full house at the Royal Albert Hall; and appeared in BBC’s Proms In The Park.
