Manish Bhasin
One of Britain’s most recognisable sports journalists, Manish Bhasin is perhaps best known for his work as a football presenter for the BBC and Premier League Productions. Over the years he’s hosted some of the UK’s most popular football programmes including Football Focus, Match of the Day 2 and The Football League Show. Plus, he currently works as the main presenter for Premier League Productions which has an audience of more than 700 million worldwide.

After graduating with a degree in Communication Studies with English, Manish spent five years at BBC Radio Leicester working as a presenter on various news and sports programmes. One of his early career highlights came in 2001 as he commentated on Leicester Tigers’ last-minute victory that won them the Rugby European Cup for the first time ever. He later moved on to ITV’s Central News East where he got his first taste of live TV and specialised in sport. Here, he found himself nominated for a number of awards at the Royal Television Society Sports Awards.
His relaxed and charismatic presenting style was a huge hit with audiences, and in 2004 he was poached by the BBC to join the iconic football programme Football Focus. Just six months later he was named as the show’s new host, making him the youngest ever person to present the programme aged just 27. In 2009, he became the host of the BBC’s The Football League Show. The highlights programme saw Manish and pundits reflect on the day’s football league results. In this role, he’s hosted Premier League News, as well as regular coverage of live matches on Matchday Live.
